Overview
Using Ring Central, we have the option to add a video conferencing option to meeting invites (similar to other services such as GoTo Meeting, Zoom, or Skype). To do this, you will need to have the following:
- An active Ring Central account
- The Ring Central Meetings application installed and logged in
- The Ring Central Meetings Outlook Plugin
If you do not have those items, please have your supervisor submit a ticket through the VOA Support Portal.
Directions
Step 1: Open up Microsoft Outlook. On the ribbon bar, select Home > New Items > Meeting
Step 2: On the Meeting screen, input the following:
- The meeting title
- The required and/or optional attendees
- The start time date and time
- The end Time date and time
Step 3: Click on the Body area of the meeting invite and then click on the Schedule A Meeting
Step 4: You will see the meeting invite information in the Body area of the meeting invite, including the video link and also dial in information. Press Send. Once sent, the meeting participants will get a meeting invite on their Outlook calendar and they will also see a link to click for the meeting.
