Overview
This how to document will detail the process of receiving and viewing an encrypted email inside of GoSecure.
Directions
Step 1. You will receive an email from the Volunteers of America sender to your email account indicating that a secure email has been sent to you. In this example, we will be using a Gmail account. Open the email and click the “View Secure Message” button.
Step 2. Once the button is clicked, you will then be sent to the GoSecure login page to register for an account. To sign up, click the link under “First time user?”.
Step 3. Insert your email address in the required field and click “Signup”.
Step 4. Once you have signed up with your email address you will receive a confirmation email sent to your email address. When the email is received you must click “Activate” to confirm your identity.
Step 5. You will then be brought back to the GoSecure website. Here you will create a password for your GoSecure account. Enter the created password in both sections then click save. Please note that passwords must contain at minimum 8 characters.
Step 6. Once you have created your password for your account, log into your GoSecure account with your username and password that was created and click “Login”. Please note that the username is your email address.
Step 7. Once logged in, you will see the encrypted email that was sent. Click the email to view the message.
Step 8. On the top taskbar you will have the option to reply to the encrypted email. To do so, click the reply button.
Step 9. A new message window will appear that will allow you to reply to the message. Once the reply is typed, click send.
