Overview
When working remote (i.e. at home, at a coffee shop, etc) you are working outside of the VOA SELA Network. In these instances, you must use the Virtual Private Network or VPN to make a secure connection back to the VOA SELA Network. Making this connection, allows you to securely check e-mail, use the F:Drive, and other resources.
This guide will help you in the event you’ve changed your VOA SELA account password and need to sync it between your VPN and computer.
For this example, we’ll use “OldPassword#1” as your old password and “NewPassword#2” as your new password.
Step 1: Log into your computer using your old password (in this case OldPassword#1)
Step 2: Log into the VPN with your new password (in this case NewPassword#2)
Step 3: After you press Connect, a token box will appear.
Step 4: Open up the FortiToken mobile app on your cell phone and enter in the unique code. (Sidenote: If you don’t see it, press on the eye. Remember, this code will change each time you login).
Step 5: Enter in the same code from the FortiToken mobile app into the token box of the VPN window, then press connect.
Step 6: If done successfully, you will see the FortiClient VPN connected screen.

Step 7: Go to the Windows Start button, click on your name, then click on Lock. This will lock your computer.
Step 8: Now sign back into the computer but this time with the new password (in this case NewPassword#2)
